Rachael Pazdan is an event producer + arts presenter based in Brooklyn, NY. She is currently the Director of Creative Production for AdHoc Projects. Originally hailing from Chicago, rachael spends her free time seeing dance + music, cooking, and dreaming of her next big project ⁂
Rachael is a seasoned event producer and music booking expert with over 12 years of extensive experience both in New York City and internationally. Her track record spans creative direction and management of a diverse array of events ranging from large-scale to intimate, encompassing concerts, experiential brand activations, festivals, and conferences.
She has been entrusted with curating musical talent for some of New York City's most renowned venues, which include Public Records, Le Poisson Rouge, The Bell House, Summer Series at Industry City, and The Manhattan Inn.
She has also found success as an event producer, showing a strong ability to shape creative direction, manage logistics, and ensure the seamless execution of a variety of events. Her portfolio includes the development and production of events for esteemed publications like Rolling Stone, the organization of influential thought leader summits for Global Citizen in both New York City and South Africa, talent management for Rihanna's groundbreaking Savage X Fenty runway show on Amazon, the successful execution of brand activations at SXSW, and the meticulous coordination of spontaneous performances at over 300 polling locations during the 2020 general election in support of the Joy To The Polls initiative, among other noteworthy achievements.
Pazdan harbors an unwavering dedication to nurturing and bolstering the New York City arts community and has taken the initiative to independently create her own series and productions. In 2015, she laid the foundation for The Hum Series, which, over the course of more than five years, served as a platform and network, dedicated to empowering and connecting womxn and gender non-conforming musicians in the vibrant New York City music scene. Her involvement in The Hum Series extended to celebrating and cultivating their work and fostering unique collaborations among artists. Pazdan's repertoire of programming also includes her notable contributions to four/four presents, a platform focused on curating collaborative efforts between music and dance, and her pivotal role in Stories from the Stage, a compelling video series for the New York Independent Venue Association that poignantly documented the trials faced by venues during the pandemic.
In her salad days, Rachael honed her skills and expertise at prominent organizations like BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), and Columbia Artist Management, where her responsibilities included managing logistical intricacies for both local and international orchestras and jazz ensembles.
Additionally, Rachael has had the privilege of being invited to offer her insights as a guest lecturer at respected institutions, including CalArts, New York University, Syracuse University, and her own alma mater, SUNY Purchase College, where she completed her BA in Arts Management.
